Wheel building is as much art as it is science. All Easton wheels are meticulously Hand Built by skilled craftsmen to achieve uniform spoke tension. Easton employs the use of sound to ensure even tension and uniform tightness of each spoke. The procedure vastly strengthens the wheel and greatly reduces spoke failure. Monitoring the pitch and tone of each spoke allows us to sufficiently increase tension to the spokes so that the wheel is optimized for performance, lightweight, stiffness, and durability.
It's a painstaking process, but Easton's systematic approach to precision tensioning and truing sets the standard in the industry. Nothing does this better than experienced human hands.
