The first and only racing bicycle in Magnesium. This triple butted Ak61 magnesium is 35% lighter than aluminum alloy. For 2007 the frame weight has been lowered by 150 grams by reducing the tubing dimensions of the top tube, down tube and chainstays. New CRS FP seat stays New tubing dimensions: T/T 35 mm, DT 44 mm, chainstays 25.4 mm The ONDA FPX fork utilizes a 1-1/4’’ bearing at the fork crown and a 1-1/8’’ at the top of the headset. Magnesium is 34% lighter than aluminum Higher strength-to-weight ratio than aluminum, titanium or steel Excellent damping qualities for a more comfortable ride Elongation in the 10%-11% range helps make a durable frame with low notch memory for high impact and dent resistance Magnesium is an environmentally friendly material, naturally occurring at a rate of 1.3 kg per cubic meter of seawater.
