Alec Riendeau - Alec has over 10 years experience working as a professional bicycle mechanic. He made the jump from a garage mechanic
to shop mechanic in 1996 at Metropolis Bicycles in Sherlington, VA. Since then Alec has worked as a mechanic in shops in northern Virginia,
Washington D.C., New Jersey and at Big Ring Cycles. Alec has also worked as a race mechanic for road and cyclocross teams throughout the
east- coast and now Colorado.
Pre-Race Tune-Up $40

Standard Tune-Up $80
- Complete frame and component inspection
- Frame and wheel wipe down
- On-bike driveline clean
- Derailleur adjustment
- Brake adjustment
- Inspect brake pads for wear - replace as necessary (at additional cost)
- Headset adjustment
- Tighten all fittings to specified torque setting
- Hub adjustment
- True wheels
- Inspect tires for wear and damage
- Check tire air pressure - inflate as necessary
- Check shock air pressure - inflate as necessary

Tune-Up with Drivetrain clean $110
- Complete frame and component inspection
- Frame and wheel wipe down
- Off-bike drivetrain clean - crank, cassette, chain cleaned with industrial parts washer
- Derailleur adjustment - replace cables and housing as necessary (at additional cost)
- Brake adjustment- replace cables and housing as necessary (at additional cost)
- Inspect brake pads for wear- replace as necessary (at additional cost)
- Headset adjustment
- Tighten all fittings to specified torque setting
- Hub adjustment
- True wheels
- Inspect tires for wear and damage
- Check tire air pressure - inflate as necessary
- Check shock air pressure - inflate as necessary

Complete Overhaul $175
- Remove all parts from frame
- Complete frame and component inspection
- Frame and wheel wipe down
- Off-bike drivetrain clean - crank, cassette, chain cleaned with industrial parts washer
- Derailleur overhaul and adjustment- replace cables and housing as necessary (at additional cost)
- Brake overhaul and adjustment- replace cables and housing as necessary (at additional cost)
- Inspect brake pads for wear- replace as necessary (at additional cost)
- Headset overhaul and adjustment
- Bottom bracket overhaul and adjustment
- Tighten all fittings to specified torque setting
- Hub overhaul and adjustment
- True wheels
- Inspect tires for wear and damage

Professional Bike Build $150
- Installation and adjustment of all specified components including the following:
- Professional frame preparation
- Bottom bracket faced and chased as necessary
- Headset faced as necessary
- Frame tubing treatment as necessary
- Frame polishing
- Headset cups pressed, headset installed
- Bottom bracket installed
- Drivetrain installation and adjustment
- Brakes installed and adjusted
- All fittings tightened to specified torque setting
- Wheels inspected and trued as necessary
- Tires and tubes installed - clincher or tubular
Standard Labor Rate $80 hour.
