Alex Bishop

Alex Bishop attended Indiana University and studied under nationally and globally renowned instructors and coaches in the fitness and sporting world.  Outside the classroom, Alex spent time as a strength and conditioning assistant to numerous varsity sports.  He also instructed and designed balance fitness classes for cardiac rehab, stroke, and other special populations.  Throughout his career, he has worked with nearly all types of clients ranging from spinal injury patients to national level athletes.

Alex picked up cycling in college and joined the Indiana University Cycling Team, and the Cutters Little 500 Cycling Team; as made famous by the 1979 academy award winning movie ‘Breaking Away.’  Alex went on to win the Little 500 his junior year and decided to pursue a career in cycling with the Waste Management/ Jelly Belly Pro Cycling Team as a Category one racer.

After his stint as an elite athlete,  Alex returned to school to finish his degree as a Fitness Specialist and received his B.S. in Kinesiology.  Since then, he has dedicated his life to helping others achieve their fitness and sporting potential.  Alex currently holds the following nationally accredited certifications: American Council on Exercise Certified Personal Trainer, American College of Sports Medicine Health Fitness Specialist, American Fitness Professionals & Associates Sports Conditioning Specialist, USA Cycling Certified Cycling Coach, and American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED Certified.
